Herb to 1m; flowers white, fragrant. N.V. "Sinter pwet h pwet [Pohnpeian] pwet (White)."
Ethnobotanical Notes:
Flower Buds: Hair preparations. Collect 9 buds before sunrise. Pound and mix with coconut oil, use it on hair before the sun comes up. Grind down white meat of coconut (copra), mix flowers, squeeze mixture-comes out milky-and apply on hair to make it shiny and fragrant.
