Plant Description:
Perennial rhizomatous, aromatic. inflorescence erect, bracts reddish green, filled with clear fluid, perianth cream, stamens pale yellow. Common ground cover everywhere.
Habitat:
Secondary forest of Psidium guajava and Schinus.
Associated Species:
Scattered Pandanus tectorius, Metrosideros, Aleurites, ground cover of Kalanchoe pinnata, and Zingiber zerumbet.
