Plant Description:
Rhizomatous perennial herb, rhizome pale yellow within, aromatic. Leaves green, distichous. Naturalized in large patches along stream, plants now mostly dormant.
Habitat:
Secondary wet forest dominated by Hibiscus tiliaceus, Glochidion, Angiopteris, Pandanus, and ground cover mainly of ferns and Colocasia.
