Trail from Omoa along Punaitai Ridge crest to base of Mt. Tekou. Regional elevation 550-840m.
Plant Description:
Terrestrial herb, rhizome fleshy, aromatic, pseudostems red. Occasional, naturalized.
Habitat:
Ridgetop with low, primary wet forest of Metrosideros collina, Cyclophyllum, Pandanus, Cyathea affinis, and Freycinetia, with numerous eiphytes and understory of ferns.
