Common understory herb from underground rhizome; stems green tinged red; leaves glossy pale green above, duller, paler below; inflor. erect, bracts deep rose; head turgid with aromatic, clear, gelatinous liquid.
Specimen Treatment:
Stored in either Isopropyl Alcohol or Stolichnaya Vodka
Habitat:
Secondary forest of Ardisia, Hibiscus, Syzygium, Pittosporum, Leucaena and Nephrolepis.
