Herb, 3 ft, no flower, long green fruit turning black when ripe. N.V. "Oangen Pele [Pohnpeian]."
Ethnobotanical Notes:
Tuber: Labor. For pregnant women during labor. Take 4 pieces of tuber and pound. Squeeze in a glass of water and have the lady dip during labor. Drink up to 4 cups throughout the day if the labor is tough.
