6.7 miles N of main airport, at Ouikuul (Goikul) Village on E. coast; approximate elevation 1-5 m.
Plant Description:
Rhizomatous herb, pseudostems to 2 m tall, leaved distichous . Flowers with greenish-cream tepals, labellum purple, bilobed. Occasional locally, understory. Voucher for rhizome collection, NTBG 980184.
Habitat:
Evergreen mesic forest and agroforest; flat areas with deep soils interspersed with limestone outcrops.
Associated Species:
Ficus, Artocarpus altilis, Areca catechu, Heterospathe elata, Cocos , Ceiba pentandra, & Osmoxylon.
