Plant Description:
Rhizomatous perennial herb, pseudostems clumping, 3-4 m tall , lvs distichous, green. Infl. nodding, bracts pink, calyx p ink, white basally, corolla limb tubular, tepals pink, white basally. Fruits red-green, globose. Grown from seed collected in Pohnpei. NTBG acc. # 960849
