Plant Description:
Shrub, 3 m x 2 m wide, ca 50-75 cm tall, thickly branched, very healthy, 90-95% leaf cover, 5-10% branch tip die-back from old drought injury, trunk ca. 10 cm diameter @ base, stems gray to gray brown, final seed capsule collected, mature, seed to be sent to Maui Nui Botanical Garden (MNBG).
Habitat:
Mixed native dry coastal shrubland-grassland.
Associated Species:
Eragrostis leptophylla, Senna gaudichaudii, Portulaca molokiniensis, Sida fallax, Melanthera lavarum, Heteropogon contortus, Bidens mauiensis, Capparis sandwichiana, Ipomoea tuboides, Kanaloa kahoolawensis, Chamaesyce celastroides var. amplectens, and Cuscuta sandwichiana.
