Plant Description:
Shrub, 50 cm tall, many branched, silver-gray leaves, vegetative, occasional.
Habitat:
Acacia koa - Metrosideros polymorpha - Dicranopteris linearis montane mesic.
Associated Species:
10% open, 8-10 m tall canopy, 40% Acacia koa, 20% Metrosideros polymorpha, 20% tall Psychotria mariniana with 5-7 m tall understory canopy of Planchonella sandwicensis, Bobea brevipes merging into upper canopy with Dodonaea viscosa, Melciope feddei, Santalum pyrularium; ground cover 40% leaf litter, 25% exposed soil, margin with 5% Dicranopteris linearis.
