Plant Description:
Collected for Lawai Stream Restoration Acc# 050338. Plant 12 ft. tall, shrub. Branches upright and cascading. Lvs. grey-white below w/ red petiole and some red @ base of midrib. Fruits @ petiole base, w/ embedded dk. brown seeds. Mature fruit further down stem while flws. near apex of same branch.
Habitat:
Degraded Wet Riparian Forest.
Associated Species:
Metrosideros, Pisonia, Melastoma candidum, Clidemia hirta, Psidium cattleianum, Zanthoxylum dipetalum, Lantana, Rubus rosifolius, Labordia lydgatei, Cyanea sylvestris, Gardenia, Cyrtandra, and Dicranopteris.
