Plant Description:
Fruits small, lumpy, asymmetrical with long, thin stalk. Dark green, pebbly with hard raised or pyramidal section flattened on top. Yellow flesh with seeds. Fewer seeds than the other type of 'Mei Kuli' with entire leaf. Leaves deeply dissected , almost to midrib, with 3-4 pairs of widely separated, serrated lobes. Glossy, Smooth blade with green veins. No hairs on upper veins. Very few appressed reddish hairs on lower veins. Tree ca. 10 m.

There are two types of 'Mei Kuli': fruits are typical of Artocarpus mariannensis but leaves are very different; entire or only 1-2 lobed or deeply dissected with thin, serrated lobes.
