Plant Description:
Herb about 2 ft (0.6 m) tall. Leaf green above and below, stem round and green, and tastes sweet, fruit when young is green and turns red when ripe. Fruit has slimy liquid. N.V. "Oangenpele [Pohnpeian]."
Ethnobotanical Notes:
Tuber: For ghost sickness. Take 4 tubers, clean, pound, place in a leaf of weipwul and apply all over the body. This will help stop the ghost spirit that is causing the person to feel sick.

Habitat:
Found growing in agroforest area.
Associated Species:
Near banana (uht), mango (kehngid), and katar (Cyathula nigricans) and weipwul (Morinda citrifolia).
