Plant Description:
Tree 12 m x 20 cm, prop roots at base of trunk, irregular branching. Leaves spiraled, margin & spines white. Fruit heads spheroidal, with ca. 75-80 keys, green in distal 1/3, pale orange in basal 1/3, fragrant. Seed collection.
Habitat:
Coastal forest on coral rubble fringing mangrove vegetation inside on sandy, mucky soil.
Associated Species:
With Sonneratia alba, Rhizophora spp., Brugiera, Cocos, Barringtonia, Pandanus, Clerodendron, Derris.
