Plant Description:
Stilt-rooted trees to 15 m tall, stems to 15 cm diam., leaves c. 2 m x 8 cm, channeled, leaf spines white. Phalanges green distally, bright red medially, orange basally. Locally abundant, indigenous.
Habitat:
Secondary forest.
Associated Species:
With Mangifera indica dominant, also Inocarpus fagifer, Hibiscus tiliaceus, Cyclophyllum barbatum, and Pandanus tectorius.
