Common tree, one of dominant trees in area forming Pandanus forests, trees 20 - 25 feet high wit flowers and fruit.

Associated Species:
With Hibiscus tiliaceus in the gulches, Freycinetia, Dicranopteris linearis, Cyclophyllum barbatum, Wikstroemia foetida, Elaphoglossum, Pteris comans, Pteris tripartita, Weinmannia parviflora, Cyathea affinis, Crossostylis biflora, Macropiper latifolium.
