Locality:
Upper part of Limahuli Valley from ridge seperating Limahuli & Hanakapei Valleys (710 m alt) down to Limahuli Stream (520 m alt) above big waterfall.
Plant Description:
Plants to 4 m, lamina glaucous beneath, petioles & midribs flushed with pink. Inflorescences pendulous, bracts dark purple, glaucous. Fruits upcurved, apex blunt, obtuse. Localized, old abandoned clones above waterfall. (small leaf collected, size not representative).
Habitat:
Nearly undisturbed rain forest.
Associated Species:
With Metrosideros and Syzygium dominant.
Comments:
Specimen consists of two sheets (006892 & 006893).
