Fronds erect, dark green above with raised, paler glossy veins and pale yellow midvein, below glossy grey-green with dark green veins and whitish-green midvein; peduncle pale yellow tinged red especially below bracts; bracts yellow on keel, with scarlet cheek, becoming black and then green, fading to yellow along margin; flowers green with dark green apex; fruit blue. In full sun.
