Locality:
Off road from Airai to Melekeok, S of Lake Ngardor along tributary of Ngerdorch River.
Plant Description:
Erect herb on stout stems to 4 ft. tall; leaves erect, dark, glossy green above with paler midvein, below dull pale green; inflorescence pale green overlain with bluish-black; fruit two seeded. NTBG acc. #980152
Habitat:
Marshy stream bottom and adjacent burned area.
Associated Species:
With Pandanus, Eriocaulon, Campnospermum, Lindsaea, Dianella, Gleichenia, Polygala, and Blechnum.
Comments:
Specimen consists of two sheets (025490 & 025491).
