Herb to 1 m tall, flowers yellow, fruits green. Palauan Name: Seboseb, Ubechub.

Use:
Food/clothing-The roots are collected and ground into pieces, then the juice is squeezed into a bucket. Starch settles on the bottom and the water is discarded. The starch is then dried in the sun, and used to make desserts, jellied fruits, starch clothes. It is considered "the best starch". (KT)
