Plant Description:
Rhizomatous herb, pseudostems 2.5-3 m, leaves sericeous beneath. Infl. terminal, bracts & calyx brick red; outer tepals pinkish-white, labellum white, pale yellow within, stamen yellow & white. Naturalized, dense stand along river.
Habitat:
Secondary forest.
Associated Species:
Hibiscus tiliaceus, Mangifera indica.
