Plant Description:
Erect herb with stems to 10 ft., occasionally branched above ; sheathing petiole base reddish-green, petioles same; blade dark matte green, below matte grey-green; bracts and calyx deep brick red; corolla white w/ yellow throat.
Habitat:
Abandoned plantation.
Associated Species:
w/ secondary vegetation of Bischofia, Mikania, Pipturus, Hibsicus, Fagraea, Freycinetia, and Costus.
