Anakooma river valley just ESE of Oave peak.
Plant Description:
Perennial herb to 1 m tall, petiole pale green, blade uniformly green, corm white inside. Naturalized near base of waterfall in wet soil. Vernacular "tao kaipeka".
Habitat:
Base of waterfall with secondary wet forest.
Associated Species:
Dominated by Hibiscus tiliaceus, Glochidion, Angiopteris, Pandanus and ground cover mainly of ferns and Colocasia.
