Plant Description:
Erect herb of three feet; rhizome with multiple branches, covered with dried brown leaf sheaths; petiole green; leaves clustered at tips of rhizomes; blades dark green with lighter green veins, faintly glossy, below paler, glossy with whitish-green midvein; peduncle faintly yellowish-green; spathe: lower half closed around base of spadix, dark green, upper half whitish-green; spadix: sickeningly sweet, female flowers whitish-green, male flowers cream.
