Plant Description:
Tree, 5 m tall, full branched, stems tan-brown, 25 cm dia. @ base, leaves with flocculose brown indumentum on underside, in flower and fruit, common.
Habitat:
Metrosideros-Acacia montane mesic forest, 40-50% open, up to 20 m tall canopy.

W/ Alphitonia, Pouteria, Xylosma hawaiiensis, Claoxylon, Myrsine lanaiensis, Wikstroemia furcata, Dodonaea, Kadua affinis, Melicope ovata, Pleomele, Tetraplasandra kavaiensis, Psychotria greenwelliae & P. mariniana, Zanthoxylum dipetalum, Nestegis, Diplazium.
