Locality:
Road from Tena to Pano, 5 km SW of Tena.
Plant Description:
Erect herb of eight ft.; fronds dark green with sheen, lateral veins glossy, raised, midvein pale green, below glossy grey-green with yellowish-green midvein; inflorescenc flattened; 1st bract dark green along keel and margin, base and face dark red becoming black towards margin and apex; upper bracts dark pinkish red at base and on face, beoming black then dark green and finally pale green along margin; pedicel white, fruit dark blue.
Habitat:
Secondary vegetation along roadside.
Comments:
Specimen consists of two sheets (058809 & 058810).
