Plant Description:
Rhizomatous perennial herb, rhizomes brn, skin reddish beneath, very spicy aromatic. Pseudostems to 50 cm tall, reddish basally; lvs distichous, dk green w/ paler midrib. Inflor. erect, basal bracts green, margin yellow w/ red edge, tepals pale yellow, labellum dk purple w/ yellow spot, anther purple-black. (=DL 9847, Palau). Origin Palau.
