Plant Description:
Fruits elongate, slightly pyriform (24x11 cm) with 10 cm stalk and raised neck of swollen, elongated, and pointed sections. Spiny with rounded sections with hard, raised center point. Pale green to yellow. White flesh with long (17 cm) core, no latex or discoloration when cut. Many tine aborted ovules. Male inflorescence 16 cm. Large, long leaves in tight clusters. Symmetrical, deeply dissected with 4-5, mostly five pairs of close, overlapping wide lobes with slightly undulate margins. Dark, brittle blade with green veins. Few to many long hairs on upper veins. Both surfaces slightly rough with short hairs. Tree ~ 15 m.

Ethnobotany - Main cultivar on Ulithi. Very tasty fruit, but stringy texture so it is boiled, pounded and mixed with coconut oil/sugar.
