Plant Description:
Fruits oval, large (18x15 cm) with stout (7 cm) stalk deeply inserted into slightly raised neck of elongated sections. Yellow-green, slightly rough with small, raised points. Rougher when immature. Pale-yellow, creamy flesh with 9 cm core and litte latex when cut. Tiny aborted ovules around core. Male inflorescence variable in length, from short and thick to very long. Leaves moderately dissected with three lobes on one side, four on the other. Dark, glossy, smooth blade with yellow veins. No to few hairs on lobe tiops on upper and lower veins. Tree ~ 7 m.

Ethnobotany: Pohnpean varieties, especially one with a small round fruit and entire leaf with lobing on tip only (Mei tehid) is found on Guam and possibly Saipan.
