Plant Description:
Vine, 4 m long, stems brown or green, corolla lobes green-yellow, flower tube with orange tinge, occasional.
Habitat:
Closed to open Metrosideros forest.
Associated Species:
Cheirodendron over Cibotium and native shrubs, 50–70% cover of Metrosideros @ 12–15 m, Cheirodendron trigynum 30–40% cover @ 5–8 m; Cibotium chamissoi 50–80% @ 3–5 m; most common understory dicot is Broussaisia arguta, ground cover often thickly matted in sphagnum moss.
