Locality:
Papahanaumokuakea Marine National Monument, lower Miller Valley just above sea shelf, near Natioanl Wildlife Refuge sign and base camp.
Plant Description:
Co-dominant shrub in area. 3 ft. tall shrub. Flowers red w/ yellow spot at base of banner. Peduncles pendnent w/ flowers just below leaflets. Pollen yellow. Most w/ bud, flowers, or immature green fruit.
Habitat:
Mesic Coastal Sida-Sesbania shrubland.
Associated Species:
w/ Sida fallax, Panicum torridum, Sicyos pachycarpus, Portulaca villosa, Solanum nelsonii, Eragrostis variabilis.
