Plant Description:
Nest fern with fronds erect-spreading, to 2 m long. Very common locally, terrestrial on coral rubble or epiphytic. Samoan name: "lau papa".
Habitat:
Littoral forest with canopy of Barring tonia asiatica, Hernandia nymphaeifolia, Hibiscus tiliaceus, Ficus, Morinda, Macaranga, alternating with open littoral shrubland with Scaevola taccada, over coral rubble substrate.
