Plant Description:
Tree to 40m, dbh 1m; fruits small: 8cm and 4cm, being eaten by fruit bats.

Use:
Food - Seedlings are consumed like a starch and eaten with fish, like the way taro (Calocasia esculenta (L.) Schott) is eaten (RS). Good for roasting. (DO)
Construction - Trunk is good for making canoes.
