Plant Description:
Giant Zingiberaceae to 8 m tall. Fruits and inflorescences red. Leaves 1 m+ long. Small black ants nesting among leaves. Collected in 2nd growth forest along road.
Habitat:
Open savanna with mixed patches of second- and old-growth forest.
Associated Species:
Campnosperma, Syzygium, and Cyathea ferns dominant.
