Plant Description:
Small, multiple trunked feather palm 4 m ht., DBH 10 cm., trunk with pronounced leaf scars with each interval ca. 20cm; lf sheath from base to pinnae ca. 71 cm, ca. 19 pairs pinnae ca. 71 cm, ca. 19 pairs pinnae per leaf. Lvs dark green & glabrous upper & lower surfaces; flwrs immature pistillate at infl bases, staminate near distal ends, sweet fragrance. NTBG #881472.002. Tree grown from seed obtained from the Palm Society: Hawaiian Seed bank #88 PS 599 from southern Thailand.
