Plant Description:
Small, multiple trunked feather palm 4.5 m ht., DBH 10 cm., trunk with pronounced leaf scars, each interval ca. 20 cm.; leaf sheath from base to pinnae ca. 75 cm, ca. 42 pinnae per leaf. Leaves dark green & glabrous upper & lower surfaces; imm. pistillate flowers at infl bases, mature staminate flwr nr distal ends. Pistl. flwrs creamy yellow, sweet fragrance. NTBG acc. #881472.003. Tree grown from seed obtained from the Palm Society: Hawaiian Seed bank #88 PS 599 from southern Thailand.
