Locality:
Polihale, up gulch across from second pavilion, over rock walls and into dry streambed past large Hibiscus tiliaceus patch. Ground 70% leaf litter on moderate to steep slope about 30 ft above the stream bed.
Plant Description:
NTBG acc. #080922. About 20 trees in patch. This collected from large 25 ft. tree multi-branched. Lvs. Dull dk green w/ raised venation. Fruit and flws w/ rust brown hairs on peduncle. Flw cream color w/ pubescent calyx. Fruit dk brown.
Associated Species:
Leucaena dominant w/ Aleurites moluccana and scattered Erythrina sandwicensis w/ no or few gall wasp damaged leaves. Thick patches of Lantana, occasional Psydrax, rare Diospyros.
