State Hwy 550 to Kokee, along the Waimea Canyon Rim, 5.5 miles from Waimea, growing on vertical areas of ridge that entends into the Canyon.
Plant Description:
Male plant? W/ stamens and pollen. Light green, purple decurrent leaf bases. Pelats w/ purple stripe down center of backside, inside mostly green w/ purple at apex. Bud purple. Stem green, woody at base, purple at nodes. About 50 plants.
Habitat:
Disturbed Scrubland w/ heavy goat grazing.
Associated Species:
W/ Dodonea viscosa, Eragrostis variabilis, Leptecophylla tameiameiae, Lipochaeta connata subsp. connata , Bidens sandvicensis subsp. sandvicensis.
