State Hwy 550 to Kokee, along the Waimea Canyon Rim, 5.5 miles from Waimea, growing on vertical areas of ridge that entends into the Canyon.
Plant Description:
Female plant? 1.5 ftl tall. Buds tightly clustered on stem. Lvs light green w depressed midrib on upper surface. Stamens cream color, whispy. Bud purple to white. About 50 plants.
Habitat:
Disturbed Scrubland w/ heavy goat grazing.
Associated Species:
W/ Dodonea viscosa, Eragrostis variabilis, Leptecophylla tameiameiae, Lipochaeta connata subsp. connata , Bidens sandvicensis subsp. sandvicensis.
