Hakahau Valley: in the yard of a local resident in the main village.
Plant Description:
A tree, 10 m tall with two trunks, 58 cm and 60 cm in diameter respectively; bark grey with longitudinal fissure; fruits ellipsoid, 20 x 14 cm, green mottled with brown, peduncle 8 cm long; pillose hairs on mid-vein, appressed on the underside; mid-veins greenish-yellow. Tree heavily pruned to keep the fruits lower. "Mei koui".
