Plant Description:
Fruits small, round (9.5 x 9 cm), similar in size to a baseball, with short stalk inserted into very distinctive neck of one row of elongated sections with heavy scabbing around the stalk. Smooth with very distinctive sections with star-shaped scar in center and heavy scabbing between each section. Flesh solid, yellow with small core (5.5 cm); no latex or discoloration when cut. Full, mostly mature fruits on tree. Large, symmetrical leaves, shallowly dissected with four pairs of lobes with undulate margins. Dark, dull, brittle, smooth blade with yellow-green veins. Many short white hairs on upper veins, underside rough. Tree has rounded canopy: ~6 m with two trunks branching near base, DBH 22.6 cm.
