Plant Description:
Tree 7 m high, trunk 30 cm diam, bark smooth, gray. Leaves dark green, glossy above. Sepals green tinged with red, petals, style and stamens white; flowers nocturnal, not fragrant (5 pm). Fruits brown. Seed from Turrialba, Costa Rica (Latin Amer. Forest Tree seed bank).
