Plant Description:
Tree mostly deciduous w/ leaves only on shaded, north facing lowe r portion of branches. Flowers appear brown or rusty-orange from distance; light-brown, mauve tinged with green. Buds brown. Fragrant. Fruits single up to four per inflorescence, ellipsoid, splitting length-wise. Bright orangish-red, pale whitish inside with several hard, black, ovoid seeds ~1 cm long.
