Plant Description:
NTBG acc.#830785002; Bamboo Bridge; tree of 15 ft.; leaves clustered at branch tips, glossy pale to medium green; inflor. branches pale green covered w/ maroonish hairs, coro lla very pale green with reddish base, covered with maroonish hairs. From seed collected in Malaysia (Hume 219). Fruit deep velvety scarlet without, sutures pale yellow, within glossy pale reddish-peach with dark red mottling extending down from sutures. Coll. 4.x.1995.
