Numerous plants 0.6-1.5 m tall, leaves chartaceous, appearing smooth, above green, below pale green, calyx green, hairy only at base, petals Primuline Yellow (Ridgeway pl. XVI), the eye as blotches between the veins. Ox-blood Red (Pl. I). From several plants.
Habitat:
Opening in koa forest.
