Locality:
West slopes above landing at Ataeva Bay. Alt. 80-100 m.
Plant Description:
Shrubs and trees 1 to 3 m tall; flowers cream-colored with violet splotches inside corolla, in the center of each petal sometimes extending to the bend at edge of petal. Very fragrant; flowers much fewer than fruit & the latter in all stages of development. Pop. of about 2000-3000 individuals.
Habitat:
Severely eroded slope about 25o inclination with many rocks & boulders and the soil almost completely barren of low cover. Abundant & dominant over about 3 hectares.
