Locality:
Pohakuao; upper isolated valley above falls; north of Kalalau and south of Hanakoa. Elev. 1400-2000 ft.
Plant Description:
4 m tall, 15 cm dia at base; sterile; grafts made onto Kokia on grounds (see collection data); northern most Kokia known; single individual.
Habitat:
Diverse mesic forest. Brown soil with talus and leaf litter; 10 deg north aspect.
Associated Species:
Relictual with Pouteria sandwicensis, Santalum freycinetianum, Psychotria mariniana, Pteralyxia kauaiensis.
