Locality:
Kalahu Point. PTBG Kahanu Garden. Elev. 0-50 ft. Along margin of forest east of Piilanihale Heiau in area of concentrated archaeological sites.
Plant Description:
Large, sprawling shrub of at least 20 ft. high. Stems rooting easily forming a dense tangle. Leaves dark, glossy green above, dull, grey-green below. Petals bright yellow with dark burgandy spot at base of each petal; stamens bright yellow; stigma burgandy.
