Plant Description:
Shrubs 2-3 meters ht., leaves subcoriaceous, elliptic to ovate, glabrous, margins crenulate, flower orange, calyx 3 cm, lobes dentate, glandular pubescent, involucral bracts ca 5 mm.
Habitat:
In mixed native cliff veg. and Alien veg.
Associated Species:
Metrosideros, Eragrostis variabilis, Pittosporum, Bidens forbesii, Chamaesyce c. var. hanapepensis, Artemisia, Lobelia niihauensis, Lepidium, Pipturus, Psydrax, Hibiscus kokio, Hedyotis acuminata, Cyanea hardyi, Schefflera.
