Locality:
North slope of Mt. Haupu. Collected on steep slope of loose, rocky soil, below a Xylosma tree and scattered Cordyline individuals.
Plant Description:
Red-flowered hibiscus with erect to sprawling, tangled growth from, 6 m long. NTBG acc.#080342
Habitat:
Mesic-dry forest.
Associated Species:
Dominated by Schinus terebinthifolia and Psidium cattleianum. Scattered Pandanus tectorius individuals and remnant patches of Psydrax oderata. Ground cover dominated by Stachytarpheta cayennensis and Blechnum glandulosum.
